First Friday Coffeehouse July 2nd 2010

From Bob Moore.

Musicians, poets, summer revelers, stargazers, grounded artists, folks

somewhere in the ethereal:

This Friday, July 2nd,we’re bringing back once again the talented, eclectic

foursome Deep Hole Road. The band comprises two husbands on guitar (and

mandolin), and two wives on fiddle. Deep Hole Road’s sound and selection of

songs is diverse and infectious. They can gear you up with a rousing

rendition of The Band’s “The Weight”, and take you for a ride with a

spirited version of Richard Thompson’s “1952 Vincent Black Lightning”.

We’re also going to feature a mystery band and we’ll keep it a secret for

now. The music is a mixture of genres including pop, blues, rhythm and

blues, and ska. We’ll see what spirits we can muster up this coming Friday.

First Friday Coffeehouse December 4th

From Bob Moore.

Musicians, poets, storytellers, traditional carolers, ethereal holiday shoppers:

This Friday’s coffeehouse features a performance by seasoned veteran musician Curt Bessette and guitarist extraordinaire Neal Zweig.  The coffeehouse has been blessed with Neal’s playing in supportive roles including with his lovely wife Chris Chance, Lindsey Jean Tufts, Janice Tierney, Sylvan Roots, Alan Dean, and other manifestations of various music genres and vocal and instrumental presentations.  Come hear Neal working with Curt Bessette in a warm and friendly delivery of folk and original music to give your spirit a lift.  Curt and Neal’s music begins at 7:30 PM.  Our open-mike performances begin at 8:30 PM.  The sign-up for the coffeehouse open-mike begins at 6:30 PM.  A little about Curt and Neal:

Curt Bessette is an outstanding performer and songwriter who has a penchant for creating an atmosphere of warmth, friendliness, and authenticity. A Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk songwriting finalist and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Showcase Artist, Curt is a familiar face at countless venues across the country, and in more recent years, across New England. Curt has teamed up with Neal Zweig, an accomplished and sought after guitarist to form a wonderful duo! Neal Zweig has been playing and recording acoustic and electric lead and accent guitar with performers for 10 years throughout New England.  Neal has established himself as a prominent performing and session recording guitarist who adds an unusual creative and heartfelt style of extemporaneous lead guitar to the sounds of almost a dozen varied artists. Together, Curt Bessette and Neal Zweig create a musical and jovial ambiance that will make you want to come back for more!
