The news reports of the Sarah Mildred Long bridge(US Route 1) being stuck for days was about the hardy souls repairing the old span. There were no comments from any readers regarding  the situation. I am sorry,  but the replacement of the ornamental Memorial Bridge before replacing Mildred was a huge mistake.

You  just can’t say that though, so the  Long bridge repair reports are about the ditch diggers repairing the 80 year old water main in below freezing conditions, or bridge.

Events can and should be used to move institutions and citizens to action.
