This would be the opportunity to purchase the site, and have Jeff Hyland design a lovely parking lot for the school. I had not heard but was the recent removal of the gas tanks successful? Is anyone tasked with certifying that the soils are ok in that area? It was in use as a gas station for some time. I might include also the defunct Gulf Station on Front Street and the closed gas station downtown, on the front front lawn of the Fire Station, if I was making a list. Just wondering.
This purchase would have a wonderful effect on the appearance of Main Street as a bonus.
A parking lot expansion has been discussed previously on campus at Main Street School. This site is better.

If you’re really interested you can do a “request file review” on the NHDES website for the underground storage tank removal.

It IS a much better location for a parking lot – and wetland-friendlier

I agree. good question about the soil. Also, lots of tires on that site to grow mosquitos (sp?) in (not now of course).
Keep up the posts!
