I had seen a line item for this some time ago. I thought it was going to be a relocation of the National Guard depot in Portsmouth, not a new headquarters. I read recently about Kansas I think closing these centers. Kansas had too many. It is perfectly acceptable to question any expenditures these days.
10 million. I bet it will be a really nice headquarters.
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – A bill containing $10 million to build a headquarters for the New Hampshire National Guard is on its way to President Barack Obama’s desk.
Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter said the money will build a single headquarters facility at the Pease Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth. She said consolidating operations will improve communications and efficiency.
Pease just gets no real examination from the Press.
Get on the bandwagon folks cause I feel it. People are ready for Peace , and the dividend from turning off the spigot of unrestrained military spending. The Congress has adopted this scam of dropping defense contractors/installations all over to insure they get reelected. You should see the money Gregg showers on defense firms in NH. We have several making the same devices. The United States is simply spending too much money on war and weapons and it has to stop.
Gas in theater costs 400.00 a gallon. They use a lot. The Blue Angels use alot too. Check this out.
