Let’s have a demonstration on March 9th! You won’t be asked to wear a Tri- corner hat, burn anyone in effigy, overturn any cars, come to blows, nor face down a tank. We simply have to vote, all of us. Speak to your neighbors about the upcoming vote, read the warrant, be there. A historic turnout will have significant impact moving forward for all of us.
“Well I would suggest you don’t ignore Exeter”
“Why?”
“They vote.”
I would like the upcoming vote to be mentioned at every public meeting, in Church, by bartenders, by shopkeepers. I want to see us all gather and engage. I don’t want to see anything slipping by, nor anyone slipping in, because of a low turnout.
Mark your calendar now. Arrange some child care now.Play date suggestion,6 Moms or Dads, one house , one car to polls (old high school), 2 trips, wine after you do your duty .
There could be a line, here’s hoping!
The budget last year only passed by 15 votes.
Your vote does make a difference.
No squeakers means we go forward together. That momentum will be critical in these difficult times. So, start by making sure you are registered to vote and your registration is correct.
This information is from Linda Hartson our Town Clerk.
Voter registration can be taken at our office daily, and the Checklist supervisors will be in session Sat. 2/27 at the Town Clerk’s Office 11 AM – Noon to accept new voters and/or corrections to current registrations. 2/27 will be last day to accept new and changes until voting day 3/9.
Let’s all take this opportunity to burnish our citizenship badges.
Mike
