February 24 and 25, 2010 637,000 gallons 3.1″ rain and melting snow pack
Wash that soccer ball real good if you plan on snagging it!
We have to fix this problem.

March 4th 2009 CSO cover gets strapped as fix to stop overflows.

February 26, 2010 , flowing, I called DPW to let them know the strap broke. That’s toilet paper you see.

Update 3/18/2010 It’s been capped and is considered a long term temporary fix. I find it a bit raw in appearance, but there are other issues. The CSO’s this week had to be over a million gallons. We willingly pay more for cable tv, cellphone plans but we demand low water & sewer bills. That is coming to an end all over the USA where we have sat on our hands for generations regarding water & sewer.
I am not out cruising for this stuff. My Aunts TV chair looks right down on this cover from the Mill, she lets me know about it.

Could not agree more, it needs to be done. To put this in perspective, check out this recent article from the NYT on this issue nationally from just last week, “Saving U.S. Water and Sewer Systems Would Be Costly”:
