From Bob Moore
Music folks:
This weekend is going to be a busy one. In addition to the First Friday
Coffeehouse (featuring Midge Goldberg and Robert Crawford) on Friday night,
we’re also hosting a Folk Concert in the FUUSE Sanctuary on Saturday night
at 7:30 PM. We have Curt Bessette and Neal Zweig coming back to play some
heartfelt acoustic tunes-music to bring you through the Easter holiday
feeling uplifted and ready for a spring that will stop teasing and hopefully
stick around for good. As some of you know, Neal is a fixture at the
coffeehouse. He does some wonderful accent guitar work and has learned to
backup any songwriter with spatial, musical elegance. Curt is a strong
songwriter and is terrific with an audience. They were both warmly received
at the First Friday Coffeehouse in December of 2009. Find more information
below regarding Curt and Neal’s performance.
Folk Concert on Saturday, April 3rd at the FUUSE Sanctuary
On Saturday, April 3rd, a folk concert is being held at the FUUSE Sanctuary.
New England favorite Curt Bessette and guitarist Neal Zweig are the featured
performers. Curt is a gifted guitarist and songwriter who has a penchant
for creating an atmosphere of warmth, friendliness, and authenticity. Curt
has recently compiled a number of stories of the World War II era, and
presents them in a song format. The songs have been recorded on compact
disc, and are entitled “A Few Seconds with Our Fathers, Songs and Stories of
World War II”. Curt will be accompanied by his long-time friend and
guitarist, Neal Zweig. Neal has been playing and recording acoustic and
electric lead and accent guitar for the past 11 years. The evening
performance of Curt Bessette and Neal Zweig begins at 7:30 PM. Suggested
donation for the concert is $12, $6 for seniors and children under 12. For
