Dear FFDer’s,

For all you folks not destined to your lake cabins or beachfront abodes, and all you folks without friends to invite you to said accommodations, you may as well stick around and eat well in the friendly environs of  Rockingham County , NH.

That you can do simply by swinging in to FFD and loading up on some tasty treats from the sea. Things that I’m proud of:

Haddock, Cod, scallops, Atlantic farmed raised salmon, beautiful wild King salmon from California that is seeing  it’s season winding down slowly but surely. These are the best ones and it won’t be long before we’ll be turning to a coho variety and once that season is finished we’ll be”suffering ” through the frozen season. (Oct.to May.)

We are entering however the season for the best swordfish, Grand banks caught and sincethey’ve been feedin well in the North Atlantic they do contain fat which I mentioned many times means moisture and therefore flavor. In the house as well are some Glidden Point (Maine) oysters that have proven to have the experienced shuckers callin for more of these beauties.

We’ve got some beautiful steamers and you have a choice of the hard shell lobsters or what is called firmed up new shell for a more affordable price. They don’t make a bad lobster but some do contain more meat than others, and the price of each variety is simply a trade off when comparing meat yield.

Regretfully, Carol has been forced to move on to more lucrative ventures, but vows to move on with a bang in offering her complimentary side dishes. Her creative and friendly streak will be missed and you may want to come in and wish her well. Carol’s last hours of production  this Saturday afternoon.

We have some grouper that is very fresh, and native blues are in the area as well. as usual this could go on for a while , but i simply wanted to return to your attention, after a week or so , to remind everyone that Seasons move on , lives move on, but with your faithfulness *FFD *remains at 146 Front, Exeter, with it’s sole goal of offering you the best from the sea.

Thanks for your time, Fred @  772-5011
