Dear FFDers,
Looks like we’ll be putting in a full day today. Thanks for your understanding when I put the sign in the window “Open at 2”. Close to 30 years now I’ve looked out the window during these perfect Sept. days waiting for the world to show. This past month I took advantage of a few of these days. I thank you for your patience and loyalty.
I most likely will miss an October afternoon as well.
The older I get the less guilty I feel. This , of course, doesn’t mean that each of you aren’t appreciated, I know who butters the bread. The one thing that remains constant about my job is to get you the best possible piece of fish, inducing your salutations, resulting in a prompt return to FFD.
Today’s excitement:
1) Glidden Point Oysters
2) wild coho salmon
3) perfect black back flounder fillets/
or whole
4) Red Grouper
5) lg sea scallops
6) lg haddock fillets
7) salmon cakes….crab cakes….baked
stuffed clams
8) fresh baguettes from St A’s
9) chiappino… not quite carol’s …but
you could force it down
10 ) bluefish
I guess what I’m trying to say is that the selection is here. We most likely could have enough on hand to avoid the supermarket for a day and let this rain die down. Thanks for your time…..Fred
