I went out today to see if there was any evidence of the new bed that was laid out on Tuesday in the Squamscott. Buoys, anything. Most would construe the River to be inside the railroad trestle. The bed was however laid out on the river’s delta just beyond the trestle, in the Bay. When I cleared the trestle today the vessel doing the work was just exiting the area and preparing to transit the Bay . This area ,the location of the new bed, is marked on charts as being closed for shellfish harvesting. This is due to the two waste water treatment plants on the Squamscott River and their discharges.
They had a few bags of oyster shells left over.
That fellow on top of the tug is steering the whole rig.
