It was purchased by a local group of investors (Chinburg) from the Guardian Life Insurance Company. Insurance Company’s are not developers , this new group is a developer. I would guess we would now see some proposal to build in the upper open parking lot, additional rental units. This is probably the largest undeveloped spot in downtown Exeter. It could move forward faster now that we have installed a new water and sewer system. I am sure the new system on Jady Hill allowed for such an expansion of water and sewer services .
I checked on something, this parking lot was pre approved by the Planning Board for 80-90 units, perhaps as long as two years ago.
