Good Morning All,
All of the water service replacement work on Portsmouth Avenue has been completed, so there are no more water service interruptions planned for the rest of the project. The remaining work includes sewer services, paving and clean-up, which is currently scheduled to be completed in the next 2 to 3 weeks. The one-way detour will be in effect for most of that time. Once this work is completed, the contractor will not be back until the fall for final paving. All equipment, stockpiles, signs, etc. will be removed from the area.

I think mass kudos are due to the Polito Co., and the Town of Exeter for the excellent planning and execution of the nearly completed Portsmouth Ave. work. Given the large scope of the work, and the amount of traffic which frequents the area daily, I think all involved did a super job. The large number of excavations were paved in a very timely manner, and the work areas cleaned up as soon as possible. Surely, as with any large job on a main street, some people were inconvenienced from time to time. It’s the nature of the beast. Could have become a real horror show, but did not. Thanks to all involved.
