100 Thousand Poets for Change, on the green next to the Parsonage (FUUSE) Exeter, NH – Saturday, September 27th
One Hundred Thousand Poets for Change (100 TPC) and One Hundred Thousand Musicians for Change (100 TMC) will be held in Exeter, NH, Saturday, September 27th next to the Parsonage of the Exeter UU Church. The location is 12 Elm Street Exeter, NH. The event will be held from 12-4 PM. 100 TPC and 100 TMC is a global event with the goal of celebrating the energy of the spoken word and music in a public forum. Issues addressed during the performances are likely to include those of social justice, women’s rights, animal rights, environmental issues such as climate change, a focus on local and sustainable solutions to economic problems, and others. Poets/musicians and poetry groups include S Stephanie, Mark DeCarteret, Gordon Lang, Phil and Sue Cassista, Jim McKenna, Priscilla Burlingham, Dave McNicholas, Pat O’Brien, Nancy Jean Hill, Cleone Graham, Carla Desrosiers, Ed Pacht, Joann Snow Duncanson, Chip Bergeron, John Simon, Bill Burtis, Pat Parnell, Barbara Bald, Charlotte Cox, Beth Fox, Bedell Phillips, Chris George, Rosemary Staples, Lindsey Coombs, Joyce Ray, Dudley Laufman, Lisa Borbeau, Lauren Vermette, and others not yet confirmed. 100 TPC and 100 TMC, Exeter is sponsored in part by The Poetry Society of New Hampshire, and The Social Justice Committee of the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Exeter.
