Poets, musicians, gallivanteers with an increasing urge to dance to a fiddle

and a banjo:

We are back in the saddle with electric power, and it’s time to turn up the

lights and listen to some fine music from a string band foursome from the

Hampstead, Chester, NH neighborhood. The two guitar, two fiddle quartet,

Deep Hole Road, is scheduled to get us dancing on the Parish Hall floor this

Friday, and entertain us with some contemporary and traditional folk music.

Deep Hole Road has swung by the coffeehouse for the last two months and are

being received very warmly. They have a music recipe guaranteed to raise

your spirits. They closed the Mardi Gras evening in February with a rousing

rendition of Hank Williams’ Jambalaya.

We’re also featuring a passionate poet, and steady patron of the First

Friday Coffeehouse, Ed Pacht. Ed has an uncanny ability to write

spontaneous poetry and capture a fellow performer “in the moment”, and then

share it with the audience in the same evening. Ed is a minister, and a

pacifist from the Rochester area. He shares his convictions to his grounded

self in his poetry with flare, joy, intensity, and a deep love for life.

Hope you can join us this coming Friday. BTW, the theme this Friday is St.

Patrick’s Day even though it’s celebrated in the not too distant future.

We’re always looking for a good reason/excuse to celebrate, taking liberties

to move the calendar around slightly to suit our needs.
