Hello fellow poets, musicians, leaf-peepers, climate change denialists, artists who wish Summer was all year long (you might get your wish):

Gearing up for another First Friday Coffeehouse this  coming Friday, October 1st.We’re very excited to bring two fine poets to the UU Church:

Pat Parnell from Stratham, NH, and Trina Daigle  from Newmarket, NH. Both poets have been writing, and performing poetry for many years in the Seacoast area. Pat Parnell is an educator by trade, has taught for many years in both secondary and post-secondary education. Pat is Professor Emerita in the writing program of Chester College of New England, Chester,NH. She also served as co-editor of the college’s literary arts journal,Compass Rose. She currently serves as conference coordinator for the Seacoast Writers Association, and she is associate editor of  The Poet’s Touchstone, the quarterly journal of the Poetry Society of New Hampshire. She enjoys reading her poems to an audience, appearing frequently as aworkshop presenter, featured reader, and open-mike reader. Pat is the authorof two collections of poetry, Snake Woman and Other Explorations, Finding the Female in Divinity (2001) and Talking with Birches, Poems of Family and Everyday Life. (2004). Trina Daigle resides in Newmarket where she lives with her husband Bob.Trina is a performance poet. She brings energy to her poems that when read to an audience are like taking a roller-coaster ride at Busch Gardens or negotiating a Black Diamond Trail down a narrow swath at Killington. Trina is a favorite at Jazzmouth and other venues that feature performance poetry including Larry Simon’s beat night at the Press Room on the third Thursday’s of the month. She writes poems of family, place, spiritual poems, and poems that ache for a rhythmic accompaniment. She hears music in the sound of the words. For a sample of Trina’s poetry, visit:
