The Cooperative Deliberative Session always amazes me. Last night there were three warrant articles totalling more than $49.4 Million dollars in spending. There were three or four people that commented or asked questions and it was over in about 50 minutes. That’s about a million dollars a minute.
Just to compare on Saturday there were warrant articles totalling more than $31.4M in spending. That was over in 7 hours which is about $75,000 a minute. A lot of money talk this week. It would seem to me that the people that spoke on Saturday should be just as involved in the Cooperative process if the goal is really about taxes, but no one ever comes so that tells there are other motives at play.
As for an attendance report. I saw Mr. Clement there as well as Mr. Childs. There was probably 100 people this year from all 6 towns, but 70% of them were teachers that were there to support the warrant article for the teacher’s union contract.
