Really, they have many important issues to deal with this evening. It is vital we continue to elect serious and steady individuals to be Town Fathers.
Tax abatements tonight too. I have long wondered why we don’t name those folks getting an abatement. Calling out the map coordinates seems silly. Plus, ever try and look one up? That GIS software is most unwieldy, you give up. Anonymity conferred by slow software. One night the total was announced or one particular abatement was called out , I forget. It was 6000.00. I wanted to look that one up.
I have yet to research something I was told about commercial real estate. It’s a tale of folks claiming they made no money asking for abatements with no requirement to show proof of such loss. It’s a problem.
