Good Morning all,
As you have probably noticed, the construction on Portsmouth Ave has stopped for the winter. Thank you all very much for your cooperation and patience throughout this project! It is greatly appreciated!
The contractor will be back March 15, 2014 at the earliest, but the exact date depends on the weather. The one-way traffic between High St and Green Hill Rd will be in effect for a couple weeks when they come back. This is to connect the rest of the sewer services to the new sewer main and to replace the water service connections. After that, construction will move down the street, near Margaritas, and work back toward Green Hill Rd. Two way traffic will be maintained during that work.
When the water services are replaced, there will be sections of Portsmouth Ave that will be without water overnight, similar to the planned outage that occurred on November 2nd to install the valves. Notices will go out to affected residents before that occurs.
More details about the schedule for the spring work will be available in a few months. I will let you all know the dates of detours, water outages (overnight only) and any other information as soon as it is available. Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!
Thanks,
Jen

I work in Stratham and I had no issue with the detour and how the DPW handled it. I am happy to hear that when they start again it should only be a couple of weeks to finish up. Nice job Ms.Mates
