The classical host just threw this news out during an intermission. These bitter temps, and the upper Midwest  is frozen, is having a great effect on the larvae of the Emerald Ash Borer.

They are freezing to death in the trees deep in the bark,and this cold may result in slowing their advance.

It won’t stop them, it’s an insect.

The trees out back  here will be cracking and booming this week for sure.
