I dumped the Facebook page today. I only had an account to look at others pages. All of a sudden it seemed there was all this content on the page. Pictures too. Me at 6 or 7 yrs old on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, Sturbridge Village. All sorts of pics , recent ones too. My niece was planting them or the Facebook page linking makes it appear that you at least assented to their posting. College chums, frankly that I can’t remember asking to be friends. Nope. So it’s been deleted.
Some news outlets now suggest you use your Facebook ID for verification when posting comments. Now that is really something as many comments can be a bit salty. Click on the opinionated person’s photo and up comes their whole Facebook page if no privacy settings are chosen, which is common, like an open router.
I am glad to be rid of that Facebook page.
Mike
I think the pseudo-automation that you refer to here is causing many to leave facebook. Of course you can adjust the privacy settings to stop most of this, but Zuckerberg’s minions do very little to educate it’s user’s on how to do so.
