Here is the announcement from Bob Moore of the February Exeter Coffeehouse.
He is so peaceful and I can’t get that out of my head
Best,
Mike
Poets, musicians, weekend artists, artists in love with words, artists in love with music, artists with a song in their head that’s on constant repeat …cause “I can’t get it out of my head”:
Hope you’all are feeling a little better with the warmer weather, the snow is almost gone (and no, I’m not counting on it being gone for good), and I hope you’re still busy working on your New Year’s resolution or at least, trying to remember what it was that you resolved yourself to do. This month we have two talented poets, one also a musician to entertain and provoke your mind and prevent you from entering into a Rip Van Winkle slumber before the spring thaw comes around. Julie Dickson is a talented poet, who likes to lean on structure and formal verse. She has been writing poetry for many years, has a book published entitled, “Forest Nectars”, and is currently in a writing frenzy, producing poems daily, writing as the spirit moves her to write. Rosemary Staples is a poet, lyricist, and musician. She composes her own works, and is an interpreter of other musicians and songs of the folk, traditional, and let’s say wholesome music genre. Rosemary is also a humorist, and can floor you with her dry wit, and uncanny imagination. Both Julie and Rosemary have selected a theme for this First Friday, and thus their program is titled:
A Program of Love, Unrequited Love, Lost Love and Valentines:
Presented through poetry and Music by Rosemary Staples and Julie Dickson
Bring some of your own poetry and music and share some unrequited love poems, ballads, music to pull your heartstrings, etc.. Bring along anything that your heart can imagine when it comes to being in love. More information is found below for this coming First Friday.
